The Times Group, leading the padel initiative in India, had put their full team and efforts into launching the FIP Promotion event in India.
We were able to generate massive hype for the event. Apart from a dedicated PR agency reaching out to various other media portals, Times Group had set aside most of its TV and digital team for the event.
There was a more than 10 members sports desk next to the courts, covering every minute detail from the matches for the Times Group's digital channels, including social media, live blogs, match reports, articles, picture posts, and television coverage.
TSince the entire team was working from the venue, the reports were out immediately after a match. The 60-second Day highlight videos were also shared with other media outlets minutes after the last match of the day.
The Times team also put minute-by-minute updates of each match in the form of live blogs.
TimesNow, the biggest news channel, created a section on padel on their website, for both Indian and international followers.

There was extensive news and media coverage on the Times Now television channel as well. Please find the YouTube links to the Videos.

The Times Group used its massive social media following to promote the event.
On their main Instagram page, which has over 1 million followers, they regularly posted padel news. They started this process with the event and have continued to build on it.
https://www.instagram.com/timesnow/
The Times Group even created a dedicated Instagram page to promote padel. 300+ posts and 60K subscribers are already there on the page. The community continues to grow with the regular postings from the event even now.

The event was also promoted on Times Group's Zoom channel's Instagram page. It has a massive following of over 2.5 Million. While the television channel televised the event live, snippets and pictures from the event were also shared on their Instagram handle.

Considering the massive reach of the Times Group, no other group could have given this sort of mileage about the event to a country as big as India.
In addition, we hired one of the top sports PR Management firms in India -
https://sportscomm.in
Sportscomm also helped us cover the entire event on PTL Sports Group's Instagram handle. There was a dedicated team at the venue working on social media and media
coverage, welcoming journalists from various other media houses in the country who were there to watch the event.

We reached out to the entire padel community in India to spread the word about the event through offline and online communities and were able to get participation from 40-50 Indian players in a relatively small community as of now. As an incentive, we covered the stay and air tickets for the top padel players in India.
We encouraged some current professional tennis players to play in the event. Through our network, we got the current Davis Cup player Digvijay Pratap Singh to play in the event. National Woman Champion Sharmada Balu was also a participant. Gold medal winners in the ITF World Championship Masters doubles in Portugal, Lakshit and Chandril Sood, took part in the event.
Indians fared very well in the event. 3 Indian teams reached the quarterfinals and the team of Vikram Shah and Chaitanya Shah made it through the semifinals. In the women’s category, 3 teams reached the semi-finals.
The travel and stay of all these Indian teams were sponsored by PTL Sports Group and Padel India Association.
For the first time, we have over 30 players from India ranked in the FIP men's category and 12 in the women's category. This will give them an incentive to train, travel, and play in more FIP events.

Overall, we are overwhelmed with the response and review from the players. The international athletes mentioned that they have never witnessed a promotion event of this level. The players are looking forward to more FIP events in India, and we truly believe that with the feedback from the players, we will have a huge participation for the next FIP event in India.

We organized two clinics in India with Miguel Vega, a Spanish professional Padel coach based in Dubai. Miguel took three sessions each in Mumbai and Bennett University, New Delhi. The camps not only helped us reach out to potential professional players but also helped us raise awareness about the event and popularize the sport. It also helped some players gain some valuable tips.

Two courts (approved by the Madrid Padel Association) were built inside Bennett University, which is home to over 11,000 students. Both the Times Group and PTL Sports Group and Padel India Association invested in padel equipment
for the university along with readying the courts. We provided free padel for players to train and some to play the event.
Bennett University provided facilities such as a VIP room, players' lounge, snacks and beverages, and lunch during the event. In addition, showers and changing rooms were set up close to the courts.

We created a temporary VIP sitting and a spectator stand next to the courts. Even though it wasn't a ticketed event, there was a massive crowd of live audience for every match.
VIP guests included people from the sponsorship team and the Indian Olympic Association and Sports Ministry.
Most importantly the event was graced by Mr. Vineet Jain, the MD of the Times Group. He took time out of his busy schedule to not just watch the matches but also learn it. He was even present at the post-match ceremonies to award the trophies to the players.

We were successfully able to bring in multiple local sponsors for the event.
Here are a few glimpses of the branding in and around the court area.

The event was globally streamed on FIP's YouTube channel. On Indian Television, Times Group streamed the matches live on Zoom channel, from the semi-finals onwards. A 12-camera setup, which included a drone, was used by the Times team for the broadcast.
Since the matches were streamed in the evening hours, we installed extra lights in and around the court for a better viewing experience for both the live and TV audiences.

Regular updates and posts went on various channels of the Times network and PTL Sports Group and Padel India Association. We also ensured the players were actively involved in social media promotion by tagging them and adding them as contributors to posts.
Interviews were taken immediately after the matches and posted on Social Media and were share with Sports News channels.

Javier Sansierra, a former Disney company executive and a top International tennis supervisor for 40 years, was an active part of our team.
Months before our tournament, Mr. Sansierra acted as the liaison between our group and FIP and added more effectiveness to the entire project. He also was present during the tournament supervising technical and operational aspects of the event.
